Daily Schedule

The school schedule at QAK was planned to allow for the best use of time considering the academic, emotional and approaches to learning skills essential to developing students as life long learners.

To achieve this, students at the DP level will be having a combination of 6 Subjects from the offered academic DP courses, in addition to meeting the requirement of three at higher level and three at standard level and theory of knowledge. In addition to that, QAK students shall take Islamic studies as a a national requirement.

QAK students are required to meet all three strands of CAS, which are often interwoven with particular activities, as follows.

  • Creativity: arts, and other experiences that involve creative thinking
  • Activity: physical activity contributing to a healthy lifestyle, complementing academic work elsewhere in the Diploma Programme
  • Service: an unpaid and voluntary exchange that has a learning benefit for the student.

QAK students are also required to successfully complete the other core components, including Theory of Knowledge course and an Extended Essay in one of the diploma disciplines.
