Good eating habits start early but can last a lifetime. This can be one of the most important lessons for your child as they develop a taste for the good life and are nourished in body and mind for the day ahead.

The Qatar Foundation Food and Nutrition Services aims to improve the health and well being of Qatar Academy Al Khor students, increase consumption of healthful foods during the school day, and create an environment that reinforces the development of healthy eating habits. This can help students decrease their intake of “empty” calories during the school day, which can have a significant impact on their health and the ability to achieve and maintain a healthy weight.

Therefore, the school meals meet the requirements of the supreme education council’s food guideline for school cafeteria and have been also developed based on international dietary guidelines to ensure a healthy and balanced food intake for students.

The daily meals offered at Qatar academy Al Khor meets every student’s food intake requirements set according to their age and caloric needs. This includes:

  • A variety of nutrients from all food groups
  • Observe strict limits on trans and saturated fatty acids
  • Larger Servings of Fruits and vegetables at every meal
  • Whole Grains bread instead of white ones
  • Less Sugar and Less Sodium

Your child’s health and safety is our priority, for that reason our menus are now clearly labeled with a number of potential allergens, which could affect your child.
